 Another great year gone. It was a year with good health, mostly happiness, our 3rd year in India, and the knowledge that we are moving to London in summer 2012 (promotion Eddy.. yeah ..). We had a great break at the start of the year (our 20th wedding anniversary celebrated in Schonwald with our dear family (Broos, van der Stok, Nieuwenhuizen). Then an awesome vacation to Phuket Thailand in April, to the same beach where Hilde and Eddy spent their honeymoon. The summer was spent in Seillans as usual.. we will be able to be there a lot more, now that we move to the UK. Hilde is happy in India, and doing a lot of Zumba stuff.. Amy and Vivian did very well in school and will now be entering the final semester. Amy will completet 12th grade, and then start her studies in Holland. Vivian will complete 10th grade and move with us to the UK. Eddy started his new job already (travelling from Mumbai), and we will make the actual physical move in July.. plus vacation, plus setting up Amy in Holland. Also school hunting, house hunting, etc.. so we will have a busy but exciting year ahead !! Our other cards from 2003 - 2010 here ..

Andrea and Anja (friends from Schonwald, Germany) visited us in October 2011. We went to the (wrong) airport to pick them up.. duh.. and spend a few nice days in Mumbai.. This was during Diwali, so plenty of lights, sounds, fireworks, and lots to see. Then is was time for the surprise; a trip to Goa !! A&A really liked it, and we packed for 5 days in Goa... In Goa, we were picked up by a driver, and managed to squeeze 6 persons and luggage into the car. After 1 hr drive we arrived at Hacienda de Goa .. and it was awesome... Great place, clean, new, nice people, nice pool, good food & drink, and above all the owner Mr. Thomas.. He was super nice, arrange scooters, prepared steak that was not on the menu, organized an internet card for Amy's homework, and desinfectant spray when Caroline fell from her scooter.. No wonder this place is ranked #1 on Trip Advisor ..We (Hilde, Eddy, Anja, Andrea, Amy & Vivian) spend 5 days, and Caroline (friend) joined us for 2.. Our days were filled with; 7 AM run (5K), 9 AM breakfast, pool and drinks till 13:00 PM, then scooters to the beach, watch sunset at 18:00 PM, drink and eat.. then back to the resort... All in a lazy and relaxed pace... We can highly recommend Goa and Hacienda de Goa.. !!

We are a Dutch family, currently living in Mumbai, India. Eddy and Hilde grew up in the Netherlands, in a small village called "De Lier". Eddy studied Petroleum Engineering at 'Noorderhaaks' Technical College -  and then took off for Indonesia in (1989); He still working for Schlumberger. Hilde completed her studies for Management Assistant until 1991. On Jan 4, 1991 we got married in the Netherlands, and since then we have lived in:

Besides Eddy working, Hilde is happy making our house a home (we tend to move a bit..), aerobics, Zumba !!, and studying to become personal fitness trainer. Amy & Vivian attend International School and do what teenagers are supposed / not supposed to do. We are having fun; work hard, play hard, enjoy life, make friends... We like to travel, see the world, and enjoy time off and visit our home in Germany or France
